Frequently Asked Questions

Is Life Coaching for me?

Life Coaching is for everyone!  It can be customized to accommodate any lifestyle or profession.  Life Coaching is ideal if you have a desire to explore, develop, and grow yourself, personally and/or professionally, and you are looking for accountability/perspective/support/setting goals/motivation, etc.

What does a Life Coach do?

Coaching is action-oriented, and it is centered on the present moment and moving forward with purpose.  Coaching sessions explore who you are, your values, dreams, and how you are showing up in the world. At times, coaching work may ask you to reflect on the past, but it is only to be informed of what is influencing the present moment and how to move toward the future you desire.

As a coach, I help to get you from where you are to where you want to be, by getting you out of your comfort zone, shifting you away from old limiting patterns, stretching and ultimately expanding your potential.

How are sessions conducted?

My Life Coaching sessions take place over Zoom or Phone.  We can use the video feature or audio only for sessions.  Virtual sessions are an effective and convenient way for people to find time in their busy schedules to work toward their goals from anywhere in the world.

How long is each session?

Sessions are typically 30 or 50 minutes in length.  90 minutes sessions may be recommended for individuals who want to incorporate healing past hurts and addressing their impact on daily life.

How often are sessions?

Our sessions can be scheduled weekly, bi-weekly (2x per month), or monthly.

How long will we work together?

All of my session packages require a 3-month minimum commitment to begin. The work we do together is comprehensive and a 3-month commitment ensures we can set realistic goals and meet them.

What is your Cancellation / Missed Appointment Policy?

Cancellations must be made on my scheduling portal with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice. Missed appointments or failure to cancel with 24 hours’ notice will result in a 100% charge of your session fee.  Appointments can be rescheduled depending on availability.

What are your fees?

Life Coaching is an investment in yourself with positive outcomes that can last a lifetime. Complete my contact page to inquire about my comprehensive pricing packages. Packages are non-refundable and non-transferable.

What are your office hours? When will you return my call?

I typically see clients and return calls Monday through Friday, from 8AM to 7PM MST.  However, I maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate my client’s needs and geographical location.  During our initial consultation, we will discuss your availability and scheduling needs.

Are sessions private and confidential?

What happens in our sessions, stays in our sessions.

Are psychotherapy and life coaching the same?

Please note, Life Coaching is not a substitute for psychotherapy.  It CAN be appropriate to have a Coach AND a therapist. Psychotherapy focuses on the mentally based conditions listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-V).  Psychotherapists are trained in assessments, diagnoses, and treatment of mental disorders.  Often, much of psychotherapy work is focused on pathology and healing past wounds to stabilize the client’s existing symptoms.

How do I schedule a session with you?

First time clients, please complete my contact page or I can be reached by email CoachCourtneyLansdowne@gmail.com or call – 480.280.2753 to schedule an initial consultation.

For existing clients, appointments can be made via my scheduling portal.
